    Auraria Library's Information in Accounting and Taxation

    This guide will help you locate materials In accounting and tax research. It lists the major resources such as online databases, internet resources, and reference materials found in the Auraria Library. Below you will find the resources that can be accessed from inside the building or from your home computer. The best place to find the most up to date information is in articles and taxation reporters.

    Online Resources

    Accounting Resources - The best place to find accounting information is Lexis Nexis, Accounting Resources. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles can be found under  'John Wiley' publications.

    Taxation Resources - The best place to find the most up-to-date taxation information is BNA Tax Management, CCH Tax Research, and Checkpoint RIA.  Lexis Nexis is a great resource too.

    Internal Revenue Code or here or in paper in the Auraria Library

    Books and government publication can also be helpful when looking for accounting and taxation resources. Of course we have hard back books in the Reference collection as well as the second floor of the Auraria Library.  We also have many online links available through our library catalog as many government publications are also online.     Internal Revenue Service Center -The IRS is organized to carry out the responsibilities of the secretary of the Treasury under section 7801 of the Internal Revenue Code. The secretary has full authority to administer and enforce the internal revenue laws and has the power to create an agency to enforce these laws. The IRS was created based on this legislative grant.
