Gayle Bradbeer

Gayle Bradbeer in spiritDistance Support Librarian

Gayle's involvement with Distance Education often places her in the role of virtual library instructor.  She develops guides for online classes, visits and conducts workshops for faculty on using library resources in their course shell and visits satellite campuses. Gayle is also the person to troubleshoot your library access problems that may be due to technical problems. She received an MLS from Emporia State University in 1993, an MS in Hydrology from the University of Arizona in 1978 and a BA in Geology in 1975 from Rice University.  She believes the first hurdle and key to understanding and contributing to any field of endeavor is to understand the vocabulary of that field.  Placing yourself in the suspended state known as 'reading' about the subject and actively communicating with people more knowledgeable on the topic than yourself will pay off in the end.
