Use the Student (E:) Drive To Save Temporary Files

  • Use the Student (E:) drive on workstations to save files temporarily.
  • Once saved, attach them to an e-mail or burn them to a CD disc
  • Save files to the Student (E:) drive and copy to your flash drive. 

Locating the Student (E:) Drive 

(1)   Student (E:) Drive is where you can save your files temporarily.

                                 My Computer Icon

(2)    Hide all other windows and go to My Computer.

(3)    Find the Student (E:) Drive in the My Computer window.

Why Save to the Student (E:) Drive ?

(4)   Databases will not let you save directly to a CD or attach directly to e-mail.

(5)   You must save to a temporary location, Student (E:) and then attach.

(6)   You must save to a temporary location Student (E:) before burning a CD.

(7)   You may save files to a temporary location; then copy to your flash drive

(8)   Some databases will let you save directly to a removable flash drive.
