ON THE INTERNET. Many oral history collections and projects related to the Civil War are available and always emerging on the Internet. Note that in addition to the terminology above, using the word TRANSCRIPT is also helpful on the Internet, since that word may unearth transcripts of speeches and intereviews.

To find a reputable online reference book, like an encyclopedia , for an overview of a topic related to the Civil War or a biography of a person or group of people, follow the steps below:
- Go to the Skyline or Worldcat@Auraria search page
- Choose a keyword to describe your topic and combine it with the word
- encyclopedias
- biography
Examples: civil war encyclopedias; confederacy encyclopedias; women civil war biography
- Just hit 'search' if you want to pull up both print and online reference books. To limit the search to only online books: in Skyline, choose the Material Type drop-down box and limit search to ebooks; in Worldcat@Auraria select ebooks from the Format drop-down menu.
