TIP - Company Information: When searching for information on a particular company, first determine if it is either public or private. If it's a private company finding information on it can be difficult. To find out if a company is public or private check the resouces indicated above, many of which will indicate if a company is one or the other.
TIP - Industry Information: When searching for industry information, be aware that many databases and directories make use of industrial codes, from the NAICS ( North American Industry Classification System)and/or the SIC Manual (Standard Industrial Classification) code systems. Each industry is assigned a numerial code by these sytems. See also the NAICS/SIC Correspondence Tables.
TIP - Article Searches: For databases that do not contain the full text of an article, remember to check Journal Finder in Skyline, from the Auraria Library's home page, to see if the journal your article is in can be accessed in any other databases or in the Library. If you cannot find the full text of a particular journal use Prospector to order journal and magazine articles that Auraria Library doesn't own or use ILLiad to order a journal article from outside Colorado.
