There are many online repositories of free and paid 3D models where you'll find everything from high-resolution scans of real-world objects to toys, gears, vases, sculptures, and much more. A few of our favourite resources for free files are below.
For 3D printing, remember that you'll want a .obj or .stl file. You may be able to use a software program to convert another type of file into one of these.
Thingiverse is dedicated to the sharing of user-created digital design files. All models are free to download and most are licensed under the GNU General Public License or Creative Commons licenses.
