The following instructions will help you find and import our Research Modules in D2L. If you have any questions or need additional help, please contact LibraryClasses@ucdenver.edu.
Each module comes with a Course Instructor intro page and a Student intro page. The instructor intro provides information that will help you determine how you’d like to use the module and should be removed or unpublished before making the module live for your students.
Pages labeled “Lessons” contain text, videos, images, and other instructional materials.
Pages labeled “Activities” contain reflection questions, quizzes, and other types of assessments so students have an opportunity to apply the material from the Lessons. The default setting is to be ungraded, but you can change these to count toward student grades, or you can remove them altogether. Watch for highlighted text throughout that indicates where an assessment is in place.
These modules are created to be a base for incorporating information literacy into your course. They are designed to work as-is, but they all lend themselves to your own customization. You can add examples, disciplinary-specific or assignment-specific information, and more.
