This database features full text plays from classic and contemporary playwrights. Includes writings on playwrights and theatre topics through online scholarly works and practical guides. Information on production rights is attached to every play. Users can create character grids to see the lines for individual characters. Use Internet Explorer or Firefox.
Asian American Drama is an online collection of more than 250 plays, along with related biographical, production, and theatrical information. The collection represents the various ethnicities within the Asian American community.
Black Drama, now in its third edition, contains more than 1,700 full-text plays written from the mid-1800s to the present by more than 200 playwrights from North America, Africa, the Caribbean, and other African diaspora countries.
This resource contains 244 full-text plays representing the stories and creative energies of 48 twentieth century American Indigenous and First Nation playwrights. Many of the plays are previously unpublished or difficult to find.
