Mathematics

Mission is to further the interests of mathematical research, scholarship and education, serving the national and international community through publications, meetings, advocacy and other programs.

Purpose is to encourage women and girls to study and to have active careers in the mathematical sciences, and to promote equal opportunity and the equal treatment of women and girls in the mathematical sciences.

Exists to ensure the strongest interactions between mathematics and other scientific and technological communities through membership activities, publication of journals and books, and conferences.

RMMTC holds monthly sessions on Auraria campus for middle-level teachers and mathematicians to work together to develop capacity with the Common Core State Standards for Mathematical Practice.

Established by the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) to nurture Math Circles, extracurricular programs organized around mathematicians or mathematics enthusiasts.

A project of the American Institute of Mathematics (AIM) the MTC are professional communities of K-12 mathematics teachers and mathematicians.
