Welcome to the Children's & Young Adult Literature research guide. This guide is a tool to assist you in your children's literature research. It will teach you how to find children's books, introduce you to a variety of literature databases and resources that will aid in your searches.

Search for children's literature based on reader's age, grade, language, author, subject, interest level, reading level, genre, and many other data points. Includes an extensive collection of reviews and entries for award entries dating back to 1922.
Find children's literature via a keyword search or by selecting reading level, genre, language, historical period, gender or ethnicity of the protagonist, or other filters. Books in the database have won awards ranging from the Caldecott Award to ALA Notable Books for Children. Full text of books is not included.
Find book recommendations for picture books, early readers, middle grade books, and young adult books. Use the Advanced Search to search by age, grade level, reading level, awards, number of pages, author gender identity, author's cultural identity, and interest.
