You must include citations to material you reference during your presentation that is not your own. This includes quotes, data, research, and images. There are many different options to provide citations in a presentation - it depends on your field and/or where you are giving a presentation.
Options for including citations
- Add footnotes in a text box at the bottom of the page on each necessary slide.
- Add a footer on slides by using the Slide Master on the View tab in PowerPoint. A footer box should appear at the bottom of each slide.
- Add a Works Cited page at the end of your presentation.
- Use the Presenter Notes field for citation information, especially useful when printing out slides for distribution to an audience.
